My World and Me

The children have been learning about the seven continents and five oceans in the world. They have enjoyed using atlases during this topic and they can now name all the continents and oceans with ease!

The children have been learning all about 2D and 3D shapes.  They have enjoyed using the magic bag when completing activities to show that they can recognise and describe the properties of each shape.

Adrian Boden recently visited our school and did some fantastic investigations with the children.  They really enjoyed learning about pushes and pulls and they enjoyed joining in with each investigation.

The library.

The children went to Haydock library to find out about the services that the library provides.  They also got to look at the books that are available for them to borrow.  They had a great morning and lots of children have now joined our local library.

The daily mile

The children have been doing the daily mile to improve their health and fitness.  It is something that they love and they have all improved their stamina since September.

The children have enjoyed learning about Remembrance and why November 11th is an important day.  They have been busy using acrylic paint and plastic bottles to make poppies to be displayed on our school river of poppies.
