Year 5G are currently completing an art project focused on Victorian history. The children are working well to improve their observation and sketching skills.
Y5G had a wonderful time taking part in a science workshop all about electricity.
‘Journey to Jo’burg’ is proving a popular read. The children are working well to improve their reading and writing skills and they have produced excellent diary entries from the perspectives of Tiro and Naledi.
In honour of Armistice Day and the centenary, Y5G produced an outstanding ‘Lest We Forget’ display using mixed media.
In literacy, during our ‘Ancient Greece’ topic, the children worked hard to develop their understanding of fronted adverbials along with subordinate and relative clauses in order to produce their own myth.
In art, the children have explored Greek comedy and tragedy masks. Using a range of materials, including Modroc the children created their own masks.
